INFORMATION
Established in 1993, the St. Charles Park Foundation has been created and designed to receive funds, real and personal property for charitable, scientific or educational purposes for the betterment of the Greater St. Charles area.
It is a local, independent, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization authorized to accept tax deductible gifts. Contributions to the Foundation are the perfect way for you, your family and your friends to support the Greater St. Charles' heritage for generations to come.
The Foundation’s mission is to enhance the recreational, educational and cultural life of the St. Charles community by encouraging and soliciting support for the St. Charles Park District, a special purpose governmental unit.
With regard to the use of funds and properties received and accepted by the Foundation, the Trustees will recognize and follow specific request or suggestions presented by the donor.
Currently, the Park Foundation is raising money with a partnership with CARS.
Annually, the Foundation seeks donations to support the District's Financial Aid Program and for the STC Underground Teen Center.
The Park Foundation offers a Memorial Program for the purchase of trees and benches to be placed in various park sites or at the golf course, pavers in Pottawatomie Park and plaques on the Dog Memorial pedestal in Delnor Woods Park.
The Foundation actively pursues sponsorship for the annual magnificent and free Sculpture in the Park exhibit and supports the activities, education and animal care at the Hickory Knolls Discovery Center and the historic Primrose Farm.
